Beginners Guide: Surviving Christmas on social media.

Updated: Sep 17, 2019

Be Kind to Others

Examples of kindness can be seen all over Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. In this day with all the hate seen on television and experienced in everyday life, human kindness is typically lost to competition and jealousy. During the holiday season, I believe people try to redeem their selfish and hateful ways during this season because kindness is emphasized and suggested with every post and commercial. Kindness should be practiced all year around. I mean…Being kind is free! It doesn’t take anything from you or your character to say, “Thank You”, “You’re Welcome” or just hold the door for someone. Being kind adds to your character!

Everyone’s joy is not your joy

The extremely expensive, over the top Baller gift

Look! Sometimes the joy other people receive on or around Christmas is not the same that you receive. Face It! Sometime elaborate surprises last for the moment and are for recognition than to create joy. Understand that joy does not come from material things or over the top exhibitions of love or wealth. Joy comes from authentic happiness in what you do and how you live.

Anything is possible.

The miracle of Christmas is that anything is possible. Miracles do happen, and people are overall kind and giving. Some examples include the secret Santa’s that pay off layaway for many families across the US and that gift that you really needed. Remember that someone is always watching and waiting for that special moment. “Be grateful for the little things” and “write your own story” because anything is possible.
