The Subtle Art of not being a Basic Chick!

Sis! … Let me be the first to tell you that you are NOT BASIC. Nothing is basic about you or what you do.

Right now, you may be looking around and wondering why you are not in the same position as your friends, peers or other people with your finances. Wondering how did you get there, what are you doing wring and how in the *bleep* can I fix this? The answer is simpler than you think.

I was sitting on the beach in Santa Monica, CA, one day before my 30th birthday. And I looked around and it hit me …. I am no where near where I wanted to be in my life! My friends where traveling to Ghana and Dubai and other exotic countries for their big 30 and I am sitting in regular ass California. And right there in sunny California I was about to start freaking out. And then, I heard a voice tell me “You are right where you need to be! Everyone else is just trying out this life you were born to the life you want to live forever!”

It was at that moment, I realized that it was my mindset that was screwed up…

Your Mindset is the most important thing! It is what determines your outlook on life and how you handle situations. If you have a negative mindset then negative things will happen and if you have a positive mindset then subsequently positive things will happen.

Now that we have determined what the issue is now let’s solve it!

Here are 3 quick steps to follow to help you change your mindset!

1. Acknowledge that your mindset has set you back

· Take an inventory of your self-limiting and negative attitudes and acknowledge that they no longer serve you or your purpose.

2. Create a plan to change your negative attitudes and view points

· Use the inventory that you created in Step 1 and create a plan of action for you to follow to correct your self-limiting and negative attitudes.

3. ACTION! Now its is time for some action.

· Here is your chance to carry out the plan that you created in Step 2. This is your test and it is vital that you pass it. Not passing it will keep you in the same place you are now.
